WinXP Service Pack 2 installation hangs on ‘Checking product key’
Saturday, November 18, 2006Yes, it’s quite odd, but hey – I’m not that much Linux-geek (yet?). ;) Basically, I was installing Windows XP Home on my old Dell Inspiron 510m laptop, which is going to be used by my wife. Obviously, Service Pack 2 was one of the first things to install there, but it used to hang every time at the Checking product key stage. As usual, Google brought a solution. (more…)
